vector_based graphics- illustrations, work with pixels, show the meaning of something or someone.

specs/specifications of a project- explicit set of requirements

dialog box- interface or computers

palette- wooden board used for mixing colors and painting

guidelines- guidelines, are steps to show you how to do something. For example, instructions, and tracing something.
extensions- An object, to make something longer than it is.
contextual menu- A short cut, or pop-up menus to get you somewhere you need to be.
clipping mask- Another word for cropping. You use a clipping mask, to cut something out, kinda of like cropping something or someone out.
